Transcribes medical dictation for the purpose of documenting and facilitating patient care.
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Certification as a Medical Transcriptionist
Work Experience: 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology, tested typing skills (55 wpm), and knowledge of transcription software and equipment. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
