Full-time (30+ hours/week) transcriptionist/proofreader sought to participate in a pilot project preparing legislative transcripts for the Connecticut General Assembly using voice recognition technology. Project duration is approximately 18-20 weeks, including training.
Qualified candidates should posses the following:
• Superior proofreading and word processing skills
• Strong PC skills; knowledge of Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Word essential
• A clear speaking voice
• Strong research skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Dragon Naturally Speaking Professional helpful but not essential
• Knowledge of the Connecticut legislature a plus
