Freelance Transcriptionist Needed (Telecommute) |

Friday, 30 November 2007 |
I am in need of subcontractors for my transcription business. I do general transcription, not medical or legal. The format of the audio recordings range from one-on-one interviews to dialogue between 2-4 people. This is an offsite opportunity where you work from your own home office. If you are dedicated, hard working and dependable, I would like to hear from you!
There are specific skills and equipment that you must possess. You need to be able to type 70+ wpm, have a high speed internet connection and are able to use FTP software to download audio files. You must also possess the appropriate software (ExpressScribe) and a foot pedal attached to your computer to transcribe the audio files.
This is a subcontracting position that pays per audio minute of $.667, which works out to $20/30 minutes of audio.
This is open only to individuals who reside in North America.
I am very particular about the quality of the work that I pass on to my customers so you must be proficient at grammar and spelling and be able to turn work around quickly and efficiently. I can't guarantee how much work there will be but I am in my busy season, so if you're good, there is work to be had. Turnaround times for subcontracted jobs will generally be 24-48 hours, so if you check your email infrequently or take days to get back to me, the work will go to someone else.
When you contact me, please let me know how long it roughly takes for you to type 30 minutes of audio and what your availability is. |
