This position consists of transcribing medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care. Candidate must understand and comply with policies and procedures related to medico-legal matters including confidentiality. Upon completion of training, employees may opt to work from home. At-home employees must have high-speed internet access. Satellite is not an option. | | Job Requirements | High School diploma or equivalent required. Must have successfully completed courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Applicant should have excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation and style, along with the ability to utilize the necessary reference materials. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and be able to operate dictation and transcription equipment. 2 years' acute care transcription experience OR successful completion of a comprehensive medical transcription program required. |
