TRANSCRIPTIONIST - Work from home
<br>
• Must be able to begin work 1 week after resume review and acceptance and be able to work at least 20 hours a week (or 5 hours of audio).
<br>
• Must have at least 2 years of transcription experience.
<br>
• Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with general business and/or academic multi-speaker correspondence including; interviews, panel discussions, market studies, research studies and lectures.
<br>
• Basic understanding of computer files and formats.
<br>
• Must have/use a spell checker.
<br>
• Excellent grammar skills and strong attention to detail is a must. High speed internet access required.
<br>
• Complete knowledge of Microsoft Word.
<br>
• Must meet our 24 hour turnaround timeframe when needed with notice.
<br>
• Must have your own computer.
<br>
• Must have your own foot pedal and PC based audio and video player – Start Stop Universal and Power Play programs preferred.
<br>
<br>
System Requirements:
<br>
• Windows 2000, XP, or higher. Microsoft Word and Excel.
<br>
• Cable, DSL, or higher Internet connection (we prefer and/or recommend cable).
<br>
• Internet connection.
<br>
• Sound Card.
<br>
• Word 2000 or higher.
<br>
• Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.
<br>
<br>
This is a contract only position:
<br>
• You are self-employed. You are responsible for keeping track of and claiming your own taxes to the IRS.
<br>
• No benefits provided.
<br>
• Paid on the 1st and 15th of every month by mail.
<br>
• Your schedule is flexible so you can work around your daily schedule.
<br>
• Faster and more production equals more pay.
<br>
